Canoe seats and kneeling thwarts typically force the solo paddler to stick to one position, the center of gravity needs to be higher than is ideal, and they’re usually installed with nuts and bolts and unsettling drilling noises (i.e. permanent changes).
SlackSeat’s universal gunnel grips mean you don’t have to make any permanent changes to your canoe.

Be careful! When you sit on SlackSeat, it produces inward pressure on the hull of the canoe. SlackSeat should be used close to a yoke or thwart in order to compensate for this inward pull, andit’s up to youto decide whether or not your specific canoe can handle the inward pressure of your weight.
